Southern speakeasy goes back in time
DOWNTOWN JACKSON, Tenn. — Hundreds took a trip all the way back to the 1920’s inside a historic downtown hotel.
“This is done in benefit for our community engagement program of the Jackson symphony. So everyone that’s here tonight is supporting the Jackson Symphony and its programs.,” said Jackson Symphony Executive Director Lee Warren.
Held at the New Southern Hotel in Jackson, this event allows people to have a good time for good cause. This elegant event called the “Southern Speakeasy” is a retro-themed party that features live music and drinks.
“We have a secret room upstairs where people will be able to go into with a little bit of bourbon tasting,” said Warren.
People like Board Director, Nancy McMahon said The Southern Speakeasy also featured a variety of great food. “We’ve got southern food and we’re just excited for something different on a cold January night.”
