Officials say puppies given away outside Huntingdon Walmart were too young
CARROLL COUNTY, Tenn. — The Carroll County Humane Society is warning anyone who picked up free puppies from outside the Huntingdon Walmart this week that the dogs are not as old as the original owners said.
The humane society retrieved four puppies from the litter, but they believe six of the puppies were already given away.
Workers say the puppies are between two and three weeks old.
“These puppies are having to be bottle-fed every two to three hours around the clock, and also because they are away from their mom they have to be stimulated to perform their bodily functions,” said Lisa Langford with the Humane Society.
If you rescued one of the puppies in this litter, you can contact the Humane Society for help on taking care of the young puppy’s needs.
