Accused gunman charged in Tuesday robbery of east Jackson store
JACKSON, Tenn. — An accused gunman is facing aggravated robbery charges after allegedly holding up a convenience store at gunpoint Tuesday afternoon.
Frank Imhauser is accused of robbing both the clerk and a customer around 5 p.m. at the Exxon at 1296 East Chester Street, according to court papers.
Police say they saw the accused gunman, later identified as Imhauser, leaving the scene on foot. When officers searched Imhauser at the time of his arrest, they say they found $146 in his shoe.
Imhauser reportedly admitted during an interview with investigators that he robbed the store. He also told police the gun he used was wrapped in a gray t-shirt and hidden in a log near a Griffin Street address.
Police found the gun where Imhauser said it was, according to court papers.
Imhauser is being held in lieu of a $75,000 bond.
