Man appears on Weakley Co. animal cruelty charge
WEAKLEY COUNTY, Tenn. — A man charged with animal cruelty appeared Wednesday morning in court.
Joshua Dailey along with his girlfriend Amber Davidson were charged with animal cruelty last week after Weakley County investigators say they discovered six dogs on the property were severely neglected.
Investigators say Dailey admitted to letting two puppies freeze when the temperatures dropped, but those puppies were not at the home when the sheriff’s office arrived.
“I don’t want either one of you to have any animals, OK?” Weakley County Judge Thomas Moore said. “So if you have animals, you know, you need to take them to somebody else, you know? No pets. No domesticated animals.”
Dailey and Davidson will appear in court together March 2 for their next appearance.
