Mother & father remember son, Noah Chamberlin
JACKSON, Tenn. — A 2-year-old boy brought out an entire community when he first went missing two weeks ago. A family says their boy has attracted the attention of thousands, an impact they say can only be credited to whom they believe in.
Videos played at Noah Chamberlin’s memorial service showed the energetic toddler, the Noah a community has fallen in love with.
Noah brought out hundreds to search, and when he was found, although not alive, hundreds reflect on how he has impacted the world.
“I’ve heard it been said, it’s not natural a parent should have to bury their child, but death’s just not natural at all, in any circumstance,” Fellowship Bible Pastor Eugene Brandt said.
A time of loss turned into a time of worship Wednesday afternoon with a congregation lifting their hands and singing.
“The good news is Noah’s been found, and he’s safely in the arms of his creator, and that’s something to rejoice about,” Fellowship Bible Pastor Michael Sparks said.
Destiny and Jacob Chamberlin, standing strong among those who have been with them since Noah first went missing, say the only thing that has brought them this far is the hope they have of seeing their son again.
“We know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose,” Jacob Chamberlin, Noah’s father, said.
Romans 8 is the chapter in the Bible Jacob said has gotten them through the past several weeks of pain.
“No matter what happens to us as Christians, we can rejoice because of that promise. But that promise does not guarantee our lives will be without suffering and trials,” Jacob said.
The heartache this family has faced has made an undeniable impression on the crowd who showed up in support, leaving those who celebrated the life of Noah with a challenge.
“We look forward to the day when we’re called home to be with Jesus, and we can reunite with Noah praising and worshiping Jesus together again in heaven. Jesus took our baby and used him to reach a lost world. Our baby became the world’s baby, and let’s not let the fire Noah started die out,” Destiny said.
After the service ended, family and close friends made their way to the burial to lay the little boy to rest.
Donations still can be given to the family in Noah’s name through the West Tennessee Healthcare Foundation.
