Pascagoula closes popular Point Park boat launches
PASCAGOULA, Miss. (AP) – The city of Pascagoula has closed the four boat launches at Point Park for renovations.
The Sun Herald reports they were closed Thursday, and they won’t reopen for boaters until mid-April.
The popular launches, near the beach just south of the Inner Harbor, offer Pascagoula boaters quickest access to the Mississippi Sound.
While they are closed, the city is offering launches at River Park and Lighthouse Park on either side of the Pascagoula River, the Old Spanish Fort launch on Krebs Lake and the Ladner Road launch on Bayou Casotte.
