Weather Update: 7:45 PM Friday
This afternoon was mild with afternoon temps reaching into the low to mid 50s. We keep the clear skies through tonight and into the start of the weekend. Although, as we go overnight tonight the winds start to strengthen out of the south.
Tonight will be warmer than the last few nights that we’ve had. Temperatures are expecting to fall into the upper 30s to low 40s. Again, those winds will be picking up out of the south overnight tonight. This will ushering warmer air for our Saturday.
Tomorrow, temperature could reach into the low to mid 60s! It will feel like spring time around West Tennessee. Windy conditions and clear skies start our weekend but by Sunday the chance for rain returns when a weak cold front pushes through. Gusty winds remain ahead of the cold front on Sunday. As the front pushes through, Sunday will not be a wash-out day but we could see a few isolated showers starting in the morning and still keeping scattered chances for rain throughout the afternoon. Widespread rain is not expected so not everyone will see the rain on Sunday.
The best chance for shower activity will be Sunday night into Monday morning. Mainly while we’re all sleeping. By Monday morning commute things should be a bit more settled. High pressure returns briefly for Monday. So only isolated rain chances are possible for Monday afternoon. For the most part Monday will remain rain-free.
By Monday night the chance for rain increases and the next weather making system to watch will be Tuesday as we have the chance for strong thunderstorms in the forecast.
But that is still a few days out to have exact details so we will be keeping you as updated as we can as we get closer to Tuesday.
