JMCSS cancels after school programs due to severe weather threat
JACKSON, Tenn. — All after school activities for the Jackson-Madison County School System are canceled due to the threat of severe weather.
However, Superintendent Verna Ruffin announced in a release that the schools will dismiss on regular schedule.
The canceled after school activities include tutoring, sports activities and Parent Information Meetings for The Montessori School and for the Academic Academy at Northeast Middle School, according to the release.
After Care programs will continue as scheduled with encouragement for parents to pick up students as early as possible.
