Businesses gear up for Super Bowl Sunday

JACKSON, Tenn. — It’s time to get set for Sunday’s big game, whether you’re staying in or going out.

“We do carry a lot of pizza, specials for takeout, wings, and of course we have people dine in with the game on our televisions,” Sparky’s Pizza General Manager Tony Buchanan said.

SUPERBOWL TVThe Super Bowl is all about the food, and restaurants are prepping for the party.

“You get a lot more as far as takout. You have a lot of people want to pick up their food, take it home with a big group of friends, which is great, so takeout does increase quite a bit,” Buchanan said.

For those who are planning on hanging out in their living room, there’s the need for a good TV.

Sale signs are out and boxes of big screens line the shelves at stores like Best Buy.

“As it gets closer to game time, we expect a lot more people to come in. We expect that to increase by that time,” Best Buy associate Colton Rush said.

This year’s big choice is between types of TVs like 4K or Ultra HD. Experts say most of these TVs now come with WiFi, so having an Internet connection is important.

Super Bowl 50 kicks off Sunday night at 7:30 p.m. on CBS.
