Grizzell commits to Harding University
JACKSON, Tenn. — There’s no denying the indelible mark Amelia Grizzell left at Jackson Christian.
Grizzell will graduate from the school as the all-time leader in goals scored with 113 and the all-time leader in career assists with 57. She was also named to the Tennessee Sports Writer’s All-State (TSWA) team her junior and senior years.
Grizzell says all the credit goes to the main upstairs during her Wednesday signing with Harding University’s soccer team.
“He’s blessed me in many ways. I owe a lot of credit to my coaches, my teammates,” Grizzell said. “I’ve had very much of a desire to this and get to this level.”
Grizzell had offers from schools such as Lee University, University of North Alabama and Samford University.
Her campus visit to Searcy, AR was a deciding factor.
“It’s a great school. The atmosphere is awesome,” Grizzell said about Harding. “God is the center of everything. All the people there are very cool and nice. I’m really excited to be there.”
