Huntingdon’s Hutcherson chooses South Carolina

HUNTINGDON, Tenn. — North Carolina State or South Carolina.

Those were the two hats that were positioned on table for Huntingdon senior Sadarious Hutcherson in a gym filled with hundreds.

Hutcherson without hesitation grabbed the Gamecocks hat.

“Everything down here is small, and it feels good coming out of a small thing and you know, going to the SEC, Division one football,” Hutcherson said. “That’s the best thing about it. Now, all I gotta do is finish the footsteps and I can put history in the school.

“I wanna be remembered as of the best football players to come through Huntingdon.”

Hutcherson has already made history. He’s just the school’s fifth DI signee in football.

At South Carolina, Hutcherson will play either defensive end or tight end.
