Henry Co. Sheriff’s Office to host deer meat giveaway
HENRY COUNTY, Tenn. — One local jail is serving their community, one deer at a time.
The Henry County Sheriff’s Office is hosting another deer meat giveaway starting at 9 o’clock Friday morning.
They will be giving out more than 4,000 pounds of deer and duck that has been processed by inmates at the Henry County Jail.
“Anybody and everybody is welcome to come,” Sheriff Monte Belew said. “The hunters have been very successful this year. They brought in 225 deer.”
The deer were donated by local hunters throughout deer season to help with the Deputies for the Hungry Program.
