Jackson police car towed after wreck while responding to call
DOWNTOWN JACKSON — A Jackson police cruiser was towed after a wreck while responding to a call Thursday afternoon near downtown.
The two-vehicle wreck occurred beneath the underpass at the intersection of East Chester and South Royal streets. There was no word on injuries.
The officer was responding to a call around 2:30 p.m. about a man wearing fatigues and carrying a rifle near the Greyhound Bus station. Police believe the caller had seen a tactical officer with the Jackson Police Department.
