‘Tow To Go’ offers safe ride for impaired drivers on Super Bowl Sunday

JACKSON, Tenn. — Once again, AAA will offer free ‘Tow to Go’ rides for Super Bowl Sunday.

aaa-logo.jpgThe service is offered to members and non-members in Tennessee, Florida and Georgia.

Some Jackson drivers say the program, now in its 18th year, is a great idea. “They should take advantage of it and save some lives,” Esther Miliam said.

Before you hit the game day snacks, AAA says don’t fumble your party plans by not thinking ahead. “If you’re going to get carried away, have a DD,” Jackson driver Stephen Walters said.

The safety program offers a confidential, local ride within a 10-mile radius to a safe location.

Staff with AAA said using Tow to Go should not be an ace in the hole if you plan to drink on game day. “We want to be there as that safety net for those people that don’t plan ahead on Super Bowl night,” AAA spokesman Matt Nasworthy said.

The AAA service vehicle transports the driver and their car. Nasworthy said those using the program may have to wait for the ride since emergency calls will remain the company’s priority.

The number to call for the service is 855-2-tow-2-go or 855-286-9246.
