Football fans celebrate Super Bowl 50
JACKSON, Tenn — With plenty of drinks and food, fans gathered on Super Bowl Sunday to cheer on their favorite side.
While which team fans wanted to see win may have differed, all eyes were set on one of Tennessee’s most beloved players ever.
“Peyton Manning, this is probably going to be his last year so he’s gotta go out strong,” Terry Underwood said.
“It’s probably Peyton’s last game and he’s the best quarterback of all time and everybody knows that,” Jay Johnson said.
“He needs to win on the high note, and this would be a great opportunity for him to,” Stephanie Kissell said.
Manning came into Sunday’s game as the oldest quarterback to ever start the NFL’s biggest game at 39-years old.
Football fans said they want to see the former Tennessee Vol have a chance to go out on top with a second Super Bowl win.
“That’s glory right there. That’s like riding off into the sunset as a champion. You can’t beat that,” Glenn Holifield said.
“It’d be good. He’s done a lot. From Indy to Denver. He’s one of the best quarterbacks who’s every played the game so it would be nice for him to do it. You always want to go out on top,” Kenneth McClinton said.
The Broncos went on to win the game 24-10 for their third Super Bowl in franchise history.
