Domino’s Pizza driver robbed at gunpoint during delivery

MARTIN, Tenn. — Police are asking for your help to find three suspects who robbed a Domino’s delivery driver at gunpoint Tuesday night.

Screen Shot 2016-02-10 at 5.08.13 PMAt around 10:40 p.m., Officer Chris Finch from the Martin Police Department was dispatched to Arbor Gables Apartments on Hillsboro Street in reference to a 911 call concerning an aggravated robbery.

When officers arrived, they spoke with a Domino’s Pizza delivery employee who said he was delivering a pizza to an apartment when he was approached by three male subjects who were wearing hoodies and had their faces covered.

“My girlfriend ordered wings from Domino’s, and the guy got robbed,” Walker Parkins said. “It’s ridiculous. I mean, they carry like, about 20 bucks on them, tops.”

One of the men then pointed what appeared to be a black semi-automatic handgun and demanded the subject’s money bag and wallet. The suspects then left on foot with $18 and the food.

Capt. Phillip Fuqua said they are unsure if or when the suspects could strike again.

“Without having more details about the suspects and what their motive was for this, that is hard to say,” Fuqua said.

Domino’s said he driver is OK and was back at work Wednesday. They say the order came from a frequent customer and that they had no reason to worry.

The incident is under investigation and no suspects have been named at this time. Anyone who has any information concerning this crime is urged to call Martin police at 731-587-5355 or Crimestoppers at 731-587-2611 or 877-364-TIPZ (8479).
