“Battle of the Banks” blood drive winner revealed

JACKSON, Tenn.-Ordinary people became heroes at Lifeline’s annual “Gift from the Heart” blood drive as dozens came out to take part in the Valentine-themed drive.

Thursday was also when is was revealed which local bank came out on top in the recent “Battle of the Banks” blood drive.
The bank taking the trophy was First South Bank.

Leaders with First South said it was great to win but really it was all about giving back to the community.

“I think we can all say it’s not about me, it’s about giving to others and giving things to help our community,” said Melanie Luckey with First South Bank.

First South donated more than 50 pints of blood from their bank alone.
The “Battle of the Banks” blood drive raised more than 400 pints of blood during the competition.
