Golden Circle Opry performs for South Jackson

JACKSON, Tenn — The sounds of the Golden Circle Opry filled south Jackson Saturday night.

The opry featured “Providence Road”, “The Hatchie Bottom Boys” and “The Corinth Courthouse Pickers”.

Organizers said continuing to bring bluegrass music to the Hub City helps continue it’s legacy in West Tennessee.

“We’re keeping traditions alive from back over 100 years ago with music,” Golden Circle Opry producer, John Few explained. “A lot of this music dates back even before that, but we keep the old traditional country music alive.”

The Golden Circle Opry will have two more performances this year, one coming in March and in April.
