Stores open Sunday for Valentine’s Day deliveries

JACKSON, Tenn. — One Jackson Family has been working overtime to ensure others have a great Valentines Day. Sands Old Hickory Florist Shop opened up at 11 Sunday morning to fulfill last minute flower requests.

The Maxwell family business has received calls all day for flower arrangements. Although the shop is usually closed on Sunday, the business owners thought it was important be open on Valentine’s Day hoping their flower delivery would make someone feel special.
“We appreciate our customers,” said Sand’s Florist Shop owner Jerri Sue Maxwell. “We appreciate them supporting us and if that some little thing can help please them, make their wives or their daughters special for today, we want to do it.”
Sand’s Florist shop enlisted extra delivery drivers to accommodate the Valentines day rush. Sunday alone, they made over 30 deliveries.
