Red Tie Society raises money for women’s heart health
JACKSON, Tenn. — Dozens of men from West Tennessee put on red ties Tuesday for a good cause.
The American Heart Association’s Red Tie Society breakfast took place at The Lift Wellness Center in downtown Jackson. Men from the community wear red ties to the event to raise money for women’s heart health.
The co-chair says they hoped to raise between $25,000 and $30,000.
“It goes into a pool and is used specifically for research for heart health for women,” said Chris Allison with the Red Tie Society.
The Red Tie Society gains a new freshman class every year. Organizers say this is the fourth year for the event.
