TBI: Camden woman charged with theft from former employer
BENTON COUNTY, Tenn. — A Camden woman is charged with stealing thousands of dollars from her former employer following a TBI investigation.
Stephanie Marie Wilson, 55, is facing three counts of theft over $1,000, according to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation.
Wilson is accused of stealing more than $7,400 through fraudulent credit card transactions while working as a receptionist for a Camden doctor’s office called The Berry Clinic.
The alleged crimes reportedly took place between June and December 2015.
The Benton County Grand Jury returned an indictment against Wilson on Tuesday. She was booked into the Benton County Jail and released after posting a $10,000 bond.
TBI agents and investigators with the Camden Police Department began investigating Jan. 27 at the request of District Attorney General Matt Stowe.
