Discovery Park slide ranked best in U.S.

UNION CITY, Tenn. — One local attraction is now officially world class.

The slide at the Discovery Park of America is now ranked as one of the best on Earth.

The human slide at the park in Union City was ranked the No. 1 slide in the nation and the second best slide in the world by Rough Guides.

The human slide is 35 feet tall, and children of all ages can slide down from the third floor to the second floor of the park.

“There is no giant human slide anywhere else, so of course we had to have it here at the Discovery Park of America in Union City, Tennessee!” said Katie Jarvis with the Discovery Park. “It’s just something special, something unique for everybody to come and play on and go down.”

The Discovery Park says the oldest “child” to slide was 94 years old.
