Health experts say it’s not too late for flu shots
JACKSON, Tenn. — You may think it’s a little late in the season for a flu shot, but health officials say that’s not the case.
Some health clinics are offering free flu shots.
The Jackson-Madison County Regional Health Department is located on North Parkway. The state says plans for the vaccinations will vary by county so you’ll want to check with the one in your region.
The flu shots are free for both children and adults. The state says so far reported cases of the flu in Tennessee have been low but they still recommend getting the vaccination since flu season is known to peak in February and can last into May.
