Officials release names of victims in deadly Bemis fire
JACKSON, Tenn. — Officials with the Jackson Fire Department have released the names of the three people killed in a Wednesday morning house fire in Bemis.
Those killed in the blaze were Dana Marie Grady, 12, Adalberto Hinojosa, 46, and Jessica Walls, 36.
Fire officials also identified the two people who were injured as Luis Cordero Jr., 17, and Joe Walls, 32.
The blaze occurred around 2:30 a.m. Wednesday at a house on B Street in the Bemis community in south Jackson.
Authorities say they are still working to determine what caused the fire but believe it ignited in the kitchen. They are bringing engineers in to further investigate the appliances.
