Brief break in rain chances Monday
Weather Update: 8:40 PM Sunday
Currently spotty showers behind the frontal system are still pushing through with localized areas getting some heavy rainfall. Current temps are still sitting mainly in the upper 50s to low 60s. Tonight, any remaining or lingering showers come to an end for the most part. Temperatures are looking to fall into the mid 40s so about 20 degrees colder than it was this morning for us across the region.
By Monday the cooler air will have arrived and temps are expecting to stay in the mid 50s. It’ll feel up to 10 degrees colder across the area. Partly cloudy skies are expected so we are looking to see some sun tomorrow. Cloudy conditions return Monday night.
Going into Tuesday temperatures remain in the mid 50s but the chance for rain returns. We could see some scattered and spotty activity as early as the morning hours and into the afternoon. But the more widespread showers and maybe a thunderstorm or two is looking to arrive during the evening hours and last into Wednesday.
Temperatures aren’t expecting to fall below freezing Tuesday night into Wednesday, at this point, so we are looking at just a rain event to start the day. Showers are expecting to continue into Wednesday night when temperatures do start to fall into the 30s. This will be something to keep an eye on, there could be a chance to switch over to wintry precipitation Wednesday night into Thursday. By Thursday morning, there shouldn’t be anymore moisture left and dry conditions will take over.
