Bulldogs jump to 7th in latest D-II regional ranking

JACKSON, Tenn — Union’s men basketball team jumped two spots from No. 9 to No. 7 in this week’s NCAA Division-II Regional Rankings.

Union posted wins over North Alabama and Alabama-Huntsville last week.

UAH was ranked No. 23 and is currently the No. 1 team in the South Region.

Union is 19-8 on the season 17-9 versus teams in division II and the South Region.

Union hosts CBU at 8 p.m. Thursday for their final regular season game.

Union is currently tied for third and if the Bulldog finish third or fourth in the final GSC standings, Union can host along with the Ladies Tuesday, March 1 at 8 p.m.

If the Bulldogs finish fifth, then the Bulldogs will have to travel for the first round tournament game March 1.
