Update: Power restored after north Jackson outage, JEA says

UPDATE — Jackson Energy Authority has restored power the all of the customers affected by a Wednesday morning outage across north Jackson, according to communications manager Steve Bowers.

JACKSON, Tenn. — A large power outage is affecting around 5,000 customers in north Jackson, according to Jackson Energy Authority officials.

A technical problem has cut off power to three substations, according to a release from JEA communications manager Steve Bowers.

The affected areas are near North Side High School, Pipkin Road and Passmore Lane, according to the release.
