Update: Power restored after north Jackson outage, JEA says

UPDATE — Jackson Energy Authority has restored power the all of the customers affected by a Wednesday morning outage across north Jackson, according to communications manager Steve Bowers.

JACKSON, Tenn. — A large power outage is affecting around 5,000 customers in north Jackson, according to Jackson Energy Authority officials.

Power outages graphicA technical problem has cut off power to three substations, according to a release from JEA communications manager Steve Bowers.

The affected areas are near North Side High School, Pipkin Road and Passmore Lane, according to the release.
