JCM hosts award-winning poet as part of Lane College series

JACKSON, Tenn. — In celebration of Black History Month, Lane College is hosting an Artist in Residence literary series.

College students joined poet Allison Joseph for a creative writing workshop Thursday morning at Jackson Central-Merry High School.

Students were able to learn creative writing techniques from the award-winning poet and write some poetry of their own.

The Lane College Artist in Residence program continues Friday with a poetry slam at the Cyber Cafe on campus.
