Liberty, other boys teams ready to hit the road for regional action

JACKSON, Tenn — Boys basketball teams across West Tennessee are preparing for their regional action that starts Saturday night.

The Liberty boys have a tough test heading to Craigmont for their opening round game.

The Crusaders split the regular season series with top teams like Haywood and Ripley… so coaches say coming in as the underdog doesn’t bother them a bit.

“Craigmont kind of, they play similar to Ripley like a little, they run-and-gun a little bit,” Liberty Tech’s boys basketball coach, Coach Terrell Green explained. “They put up a lot of shots, so we want to try to slow them down best we can and just try to change the game for them.”
