Girl Scouts kick off cookie season

JACKSON, Tenn.– National Girl Scout Cookie Weekend kicked off Friday. Organizers say the famous cookie selling program provides life skills including money management and people skills. The proceeds go to the local troops and council.

If you have been out and about this weekend chances are you have seen some of these sweet treats back again.

“The fact that you get to met new friends and all the time and you get to do lots of activities,” Girl Scout Jenna Richardson said.

“It’s positive and you get to meet new friends and help the world,” Girl Scout Jazmyn Sanders said.

If you missed grabbing your favorite box this weekend, Girl Scouts will be selling cookies at until the third weekend in March.
