Polar Plungers raise $3,200 for Special Olympics
JACKSON, Tenn. — Around 30 brave souls plunged into frigid waters Saturday morning for a good cause.
The Special Olympics in Tennessee hosted their 6th annual Polar Plunge in Jackson today.
Divers of all ages jumped to raise money for the Special Olympics.
Some jumpers dressed up and took the water in their own special way, all in good fun.
“It’s freezing for a reason! It’s a great cause we love it and we encourage everybody to come out and do it in their community and if not volunteer your time to Special Olympics you know you’ll get a lot out of it,” Director Randi Ezelle said.
The plunge raised around $3,200.
