Relay for Life leaders announce venue change during First Friday Forum
JACKSON, Tenn. — Organizers made a big announcement Friday about one of the country’s largest Relay for Life fundraisers.
The co-chairman of the upcoming Madison County event announced a big change during the First Friday Forum in downtown Jackson.
This year’s Relay for Life, set for May 13, is being held in a new location — at the West Tennessee Farmer’s Market in downtown Jackson.
“People are going to be a lot more intimate [and] be able to participate with other teams,” said A.J. Massey, and organizer for the event. “Every team is going to have a lot of visibility as it’s not so spread out.”
Guests at Friday’s luncheon were treated to a preview of the Ballet Art’s upcoming production of “Alice in Wonderland,” part of the Jackson Arts Council’s “Five Minutes With the Arts” campaign.
