South Gibson girls prepare for first ever Sectional Round
MEDINA, Tenn — Area girls teams are using their two days off to get ready for the biggest games of the season thus far on Saturday.
South Gibson’s girls are in new territory for the program, making the sectionals for the first time ever.
The team’s coach said while they may be further than they’ve ever been before, they feel prepared to make a run at heading to Murfreesboro.
“We’ve had experience throughout the year getting to play in different atmospheres. It is going to be obviously a big game and the girls are excited and they’ve been working hard all year to get prepared for it,” South Gibson girls basketball coach, Carla Wyatt said Thursday. “It’s a big game. It’s a big atmosphere and who’s gonna be able to finish those plays when it counts.”
South Gibson will head to Haywood Saturday night in the sectional round.
