USJ basketball player, Clayton Hughes, withdrawn from Mr. Basketball finalist

JACKSON, Tenn — TSSAA officials confirmed Tuesday that USJ has withdrawn Mr. Basketball Finalist, Clayton Hughes, from consideration for the award and is no longer a student at the school.

Hughes, who signed to play with Central Florida earlier this year, was a finalist for the Division II Class-A Mr. Basketball award that will be awarded Tuesday night at 7:00 PM in Murfreesboro.

Calls to school officials have not been returned at this time.
