Middleton, Gibson County win in Class-A State Quarterfinals

MURFREESBORO, Tenn — Middleton’s girls basketball team continued their quest for a second-straight state championship Thursday morning when they beat Harriman, 62-45.

Sequoya Warren led all scorers in the game with 18 points, while Chelsey Perry put in a double-double with 11 points and 15 rebounds.

Gibson County followed Middleton’s win with a 70-66 win over Van Buren in overtime.

Briana Fields led the Lady Pioneers with 25 points and seven rebounds on the day.

That sets up a game between the two undefeated teams left in Class 1A girls basketball on Friday at 2:45 PM.
