18th annual “Fur Ball” raises money for local humane society
JACKSON, Tenn.—Things got a little hairy Saturday night at the Jackson Country Club.
The Jackson Madison County Human Society hosted their 18th annual Fur Ball.
The Fur Ball is the humane society’s largest fundraiser of the year.
Guests were treated to a three course meal and live entertainment, and were able to participate in a silent auction, all to help the animals.
“We’re not funded by the city, county, or federal or state government, so we rely on all of our fundraisers and donations from the community just to keep our doors open,” Humane Society president Lynn Caldwell said.
Organizers said they had around 200 guests at the ball.
The Humane Society is a non-profit no-kill shelter.
