Comptroller’s annual Haywood Co. audit
The Tennessee Comptroller’s Office released its annual audit of Haywood County government on Monday, and officials representing the Comptroller’s Office say the report reveals lingering problems that have gone uncorrected for more than a year.
The issues cited in the audit include a lease-purchase agreement and a capital outlay note that failed to comply with state statutes, problems with the county’s purchasing processes, and inadequate disaster recovery plans for computer data, according to a release from the state.
