Holy Week services under way at Jackson churches
JACKSON, Tenn. — Ecumenical Holy Week Services leading up to Good Friday and Easter are under way.
Services coordinated by the Jackson Ministerial Association were at First Presbyterian Church on Tuesday with pastor Jordan Easley of Englewood Baptist Church speaking.
The services are held to mark the last week in the life of Jesus along with his death and resurrection on Easter morning.
“We need a unifying factor,” Pastor John White said. “We need a unifying person, and the person of Jesus Christ, and as Christians we believe that we are one in the body of Christ.”
All services begin at noon and are open to the public. Wednesday’s location is Skyline Church of Christ. The service on Thursday is at Light of Life Ministries.
On Good Friday, First United Methodist will host the service.
