1 killed in early morning Middleton house fire

HARDEMAN COUNTY, Tenn. — One person has been killed and two others injured after an early morning house fire in Middleton.

Fire officials say the blaze began around 2 a.m. at a home in the 600 block of Antioch Road. The house was destroyed.

Vehicles could be seen going up and down the driveway. Officials say two children were able to escape through a bedroom window. They were taken to the hospital and released to their parents after suffering from smoke inhalation.

The Tennessee Bomb and Arson Squad were on the scene investigating.
