Holy Week services continue at Jackson churches
JACKSON, Tenn. — Ecumenical Holy Week services leading up to Good Friday and Easter are under way in the Hub City.
Services coordinated by the Jackson Ministerial Association were at Skyline Church of Christ on Wednesday with the Rev. Gerry Campbell of Northside United Methodist Church speaking.
The services are held to mark the last week in the life of Jesus along with his death and resurrection on Easter morning.
“You know, the Lord’s Prayer says ‘We pray for our daily bread’ — not my daily bread, but our daily bread,” Campbell said. “So we’re all in this together. And because we’re all in this together, we should come together.”
All services begin at noon and are open to the public. Thursday’s service will be held at Light of Life ministries. On Good Friday, First United Methodist will host the service.
