County supervisor to call in for meeting during active duty
PASCAGOULA, Miss. (AP) – The Jackson County supervisor plans to phone in for the supervisors meeting after being called to military active duty.
The Sun Herald reports Supervisor Troy Ross will still participate in the April Board of Supervisors meeting from Fort Bragg, North Carolina.
Ross says he doesn’t want to miss a board meeting so Information System technicians have set up the equipment that he’ll use to participate via telephone.
Ross will use a land line to call in.
He’s scheduled to fly out Easter Day for a training session with the Army National Guard 114th Digital Liaison detachment for three weeks.
Ross says, in North Carolina, he will be participating in an exercise on how staffs operate and manage a battle.
Ross is in his fifth year as a county supervisor.
