3 in custody after officers find guns, drugs following gunshots call
GIBSON COUNTY, Tenn. — Three men are in custody after deputies responded early Friday to a report of gunshots near Humboldt.
Octavious Ferguson, 18, of Humboldt, Markheous Lloyd, 18, of Jackson, and Datrilveyon Moore, 19, of Humboldt, all are being held at the Gibson County Correctional Complex awaiting formal charges, according to a release from the Gibson County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies repsonded around midnight to reported gunshots in the Luck Madden Road area. While on the way there, a deputy met a car on the wrong side of the road that almost collided with the patrol car, according to the release.
The car was ultimately stopped in Trenton with the assistance of the Trenton Police Department.
Police found two loaded handguns in the car. One was a Glock .9 mm with an extended 30-round magazine and the other was a Ruger .9 mm.
Officers also found two small bags of marijuana, according to the release.
Police found a hotel room key in the car that went to a room at the Heritage Inn in Humboldt. The West Tennessee Violent Crime and Drug Task Force and the Humboldt Police Department assisted deputies in the execution of a search warrant on the room just before noon Friday, according to the release.
During the search of the hotel room, officers reportedly found a .9 mm handgun that also had an extended 30-round magazine that was loaded.
Once official warrants are filed, a judge will be contacted to address the bond issue and an initial court date will be set, the release states.
