First responders rescue driver from overturned truck after Gibson Co. wreck

GIBSON COUNTY, Tenn. — First responders rescued a man from an overturned truck in a ditch after a Wednesday afternoon wreck outside Trenton.

The truck left the roadway and landed on its side in a ditch filled with water after a two-vehicle crash on Highway 54 near McRee School House Road, according to the Gibson County Fire Department.

The man was standing inside the truck and was unable to get out. Firefighters has to cut the door to get him out.

The driver was transported to a local hospital for minor injuries.
