Best Buy employee arrested on embezzlement charges
JACKSON, Tenn. — Officers arrested an employee of the Jackson Best Buy for embezzlement.
An employee reported to police that James Steele, 23, had stolen $1,699.50 from the business by withholding gift cards from customers, according to the affidavit.
Steele sold customers items, withheld rewards cards and kept them for his personal use on twenty-two occasions between 04/25/15 and 11/20/15, the court documents said.
He has been charged with theft of property over $1000.
