Career Coach visits area, helps residents to build their resumes

JACKSON, Tenn.-Members of the Tennessee Career Coach brought work to Jackson, Thursday.

Hoping to fill more than 90,000 positions available in the Volunteer State.
Tennessee Labor Department officials met at the Life Church on Highway 18, hosting Hub City residents that needed help building a resume.
Organizers said getting out is often the first step in helping job seekers in finding work.

“Some people just don’t have the transportation or don’t really know where to go when they don’t live in the cities so when we go to them they’re more likely to come out to us,” said Toni Stanford, career specialist with Career Coach.

That same group will be in McKenzie next Monday.
