The wind gusts were so strong, it ripped opened the top of a mobile home with ease.

“It sounded like a crash at first,” Griswell said. “But then I guess it was like aluminum foil ripping.”

The winds were so strong with this storm it not only blew the roof off that home it also blew the debris and insulation up into trees and more than 100 feet to the nearby

“I just heard a crash,” Griswell said. “There was insulation blowing all the way out to the road and when I looked the roof was in the yard.”

Just down the road in Henderson, strong winds were also to blame for toppling a tree and crashing it right through another home.

“The feeling of it, you could feel it shake the house,” Dennis Patterson said. “It was ripping through my house and it lasted a lot longer than I expected.”

Although most of the storms moved through our area quickly residents said it’s something they are used to.

Luckily no one living inside the home that lost its roof and no injures were reported with any other damage as well.
