Jury chosen for Ex-Vanderbilt University football player’s trial

A jury of ten men and four women, chosen in Chattanooga. have been selected for the upcoming retrial in the high-profile Vanderbilt University rape case.

Cory Batey will face the jury in Nashville on April 4th as his lawyer and state prosecutors give their opening statements.

Batey’s trial was separated from that of his former co-defendant, Brandon Vandenburg, as one of Vandenburg’s lawyers is dealing with an unknown medical condition.

Batey is accused of five counts of aggravated rape and two counts of aggravated sexual battery.
