Library hosts display honoring history of Jackson Generals baseball team

JACKSON, Tenn. — The Jackson-Madison County Library is hosting a “History of the Generals” display honoring the Hub City’s baseball team.

Jackson Generals History library displayLibrary representatives say it’s important to showcase the life and legacy of our city’s own Jackson Generals baseball team.

“There has been a history of baseball in Jackson for several years, and it’s a good game. It’s a game that’s been going on for a hundred something years,” baseball enthusiast Jimmy Wilkins said.

The Jackson Generals is a Double-A Southern League affiliate of the Seattle Mariners. They were founded in 1998.
