‘Boots, Bands & Bingo’ benefit kicks off Friday night

MADISON COUNTY, Tenn. — Preparations for a night of “Boots, Bands and Bingo” were under way Thursday in Denmark.

Boots Bands BingoOne of the Jackson Service League’s biggest fundraisers kicks off Friday night at Snider Farms. The event starts at 7 p.m. when the Kimberlie Helton band is set to take the stage.

Last year, the event raised $6,000 which was donated to local nonprofits. This year, organizers say they hope to raise even more.

“Any money that we raise, any money that anybody comes to spend or donate, 100 percent of it comes back to the local community,” committee chair Beth Spencer said.

Organizations benefiting from the event include RIFA, the Dream Center, WRAP and the Boys & Girls Club.
