Junior Rodeo comes to north Jackson this weekend
JACKSON, Tenn. — Rodeo action hits the Hub City this weekend as the Tennessee Junior Rodeo Association will be hosting two rodeos Saturday at Pugh Bourne Park.
Boys and girls from kindergarten through 8th grade from Alabama, Mississippi and the Volunteer State will compete in the contests.
“It’s really interesting to see kids and their level of talent and what they can do,” said Joe Owen with the Junior Rodeo Association. “It’s similar to a Little League baseball game in that it’s developing talent.”
The morning rodeo begins at 10 a.m. with a second performance at 5 p.m. Admission is $5 per person.
